As the Principal of the firm, she prides her team on finding the client’s inspiration & bringing it to life. StarrMiller Interior Design, Inc. has been featured in Lake Norman Currents, Lake Norman Woman, The Charlotte Observer and Lake Norman Magazine. She describes the firm as, "a collaborative design studio, known for our playful contemporary twist on classic traditional Southern style."
In 2011, Starr was named the Interior Design Society’s National Designer of the Year (DotY) with first place awards for both Family Rooms and Specialty Spaces. Also in 2011 the firm won the Charlotte Home Builder’s Excellence in Remodeling Award and two 1st place awards in the Lake Norman Home Builder’s Best of the Lake Design competition. In 2010, the firm was awarded three Best of the Lake Design awards, a NARI award for Interior Renovation, recognition by the National Interior Design Society, first place in the Spring NMWC Over the Tabletop Competition and People’s Choice in the Fall NMWC Over the Tabletop Competition.
